Straightening Machines
Straightening as forming
Straightening can be the production method according to DIN 8580 in the main group two - forming.
Straightening is similar to bending. The difference is that a workpiece is reworked after a bending operation to improve dimensional stability in a separate directional operation. Often there are steel parts which has been heat treated (eg, hardening, annealing) and straighted.
An often used tool for straightening are presses and bending devices electromechanical, may also hydraulically driven. Modern straightening benches go from a fully automated, computer-controlled and monitored program to workpieces to process up to the closest tolerances.
